Small Jobs (1–2 Hours): $150 – $250 Examples: Changing a few lightbulbs, hanging mirrors/pictures, and fixing a leaky trap. Medium Jobs (Half Day / 4 Hours): $300 – $500 Examples: Assembling several pieces of furniture and installing a new kitchen faucet. Large Jobs (Full Day / 8 Hours): $600 – $1,100 Minimum Service Fee: Most pros charge a minimum of $100 – $150 just to show up. If a job only takes 20 minutes, you will still likely pay this base amount. Trip Charge: A flat fee of $30 – $75 to cover gas and travel time, especially if you live outside their standard service radius Material Markup: If the handyman goes to the hardware store for you, expect a 20% to 50% markup on the items, plus the hourly rate for their shopping time
